It is about time to continue the blog. Who could believe that already more than a year has past since my last post. Since then our family has grown. Vincent, the son of Luca, has moved in. The official name of Vincent is Quaint Quincent. Having puppy at home makes you think carefully where you put your shoes or socks, otherwise you will eventually find them elsewhere - reshaped. Nevertheless, he is such a charmer! With a puppy you learn every day something not only from the puppy, but also from yourself and your older dogs.
The Scottish Terrier Club of Finland had the main event of the year, the official club show, on the 20th of July. The previous days were a bit rainy, so we were afraid of more rain for Saturday. But no, the whole Saturday was warm and sunny, in the afternoon even too hot for the dogs. We were pleased to have breed specialist and scottie breeder herself Alison Kenny from the UK (Kennel Millingford) to judge our show.
The total entry was 79 scotties (only 1 absent), six puppies and 73 adult scotties. The winner of the puppy classes and BIS-puppy was lovely black bitch Serein Ranzania from the minor puppy class, owned by the breeder. Ranzania's litter sister Serein Robinia received also honour prize and was placed 2nd after her sister. BOS-puppy was not chosen since no male puppy received honour prize.
My own boys were entered in open and champion classes. Luca (Berrybreeze Daddy Cool) did very well: he won the open class and was placed 4th in the best male competition with resCC. Vini (C.I.B. NORD&FI&SE&IE&NO CH EUW-09 Brueik Summa Creation) did also well, he was valued as excellent in quality class and was placed among six in champion class. Best male was C.I.B. FI&SE&NO&NORD CH Sirkiss Sleight Of Hand, he was at the end of the show given also the BIS-trophy. The second in best male competion with CC was Flippix Me And My Shadow from junior class, third was Sirkiss Solid As A Rock and fourth Luca.
Best bitch and BOS was C.I.B. FI&EE CH EEJV-09 Bartos Ultra Violet from champion class, 2nd (FI CH Gilmoore's Zsa-Zsa Kissing-Kin ) and 3rd (FI CH Misting's One Shot) places went to champion class bitches and 4th place with CC to Perhaps Standing Ovation from open class.
Best veteran was multi CH Raglan Rufus, best breeder class came from kennel Sirkiss and best progeny class was produced by BIS-winner Sirkiss Sleight Of Hand. Full results on club's
